Impressed Tortoises

Here are some well-started impressa young from 2007. The smallest is 2.25" and the largest are 2.5".
These have come from our female, (out on breeding loan), that has been in captivity since March 1986 as an adult - the longevity record for this rare species. This is her 4th successful clutch of babies - the first being in 2002 - a world's first.

These impressas are 3 months old and eating like pigs. Their diet mainly conprised of oyster mushrooms, pothos and bok choy. Days 75-82F / Nights 65-72F. Moist moss substrate.

Cherry-head Red-foots These young have been produced from the original shipment of 5" Cherry-heads that were imported into the country in the mid-80s - making them 100% pure! Their parents carry the genetics for the ivory starring pattern, which begins to appear on some individual's carapace once they reach 3 inches. Adult size 10-13".
