Here are some well-started impressa young from 2008. The smallest is 2.25" and the largest are 2.5".

These have come from our female, (out on breeding loan), that has been in captivity since March 1986 as an adult - the longevity record for this rare species. This is her 5th successful clutch of babies - the first being in 2002 - a world's first.

These impressas are 4 months old and eating like pigs. Their captive diet is conprised of oyster mushrooms (dehydrated or fresh), grated raw yams, diced boiled egg, pothos and bok choy. Days 75-82F / Nights 65-72F. Moist moss substrate.

These young have been produced from the original shipment of 5" Cherry-heads that were imported into the country in the mid-80s - making them 100% pure!

Their parents carry the genetics for the ivory starring pattern, which begins to appear on some individual's carapace once they reach 3 inches.
